Canada's Political Turmoil

                           

 

Canada is currently in a state of near and close disaster. It is important to know what's actually going on. On the 16th of December 2024, the finance minister, Chrystia Freeland resigned. Now why would she resign well it's quite simple really. Justin Trudeau and her had a falling out. Now let's get into that falling out, shall we? 

Trudeau attempted to demote Chrystia on the 13th of December after having been 'courting' Mark Carney, a former central bank governor in Canada and the UK, to replace her as the new financial minister of Canada. Also, before this, Turdeau and her were clashing on how to handle the U.S. tariffs that may be implemented under Trump. Now, honestly, who wouldn't want to resign after being questioned about every step you're taking for the benefit of the country? 

So, what will happen in Canada in the next couple of days or even months? There is a current decline in support for Trudeau's government, I'm sure he won't be coming back next term.
